Boy Scouts in the Great War

The Boy Scouts Association was just 7 years old when war broke out in 1914. With its members brought up with a strong ethos of duty and loyalty, it was no surprise that those who had been scouts were among the first to volunteer, and that those still in the movement contributed significantly to the war effort. This is their story.
