This book was presented to the Collection by Mrs Irene Badsworth, in memory of her late husband. The price quoted is our estimate of its value. The book is an excellent treatise on the role of horses in the war - what happened to them, the roles they undertook, and particularly sadly, their fate at war's end. The book is stuffed with excellent images (it is a large-format book) but there is also a very good text which guides the reader though this story, which underlines the important role these animals played in the war.
