Fourteen Eighteen

This book was presented to the Collection by Mrs Irene Badsworth in memory of her late husband. The price quoted is our estimate of its vale. The book is mainly a photographic history of the war. Most of its contents are drawn from articles appearing in News of the World in July, August and September of 1914 in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the outbreak of the war. This is not the only version of this type of book that we have in the Collection, but we regard all of them as relevant. Put together, the images they offer are an astounding reflection of what happened.
