This book was first published by Leo Cooper in 1999. The book tells how, from 1915 until 1917, about 200 British ships were converted to Q ships. They were large enough to be appealing as U-Boat targets, but were not so large as to warrant the expenditure of a (scarce) German torpedo. The book also covers German raiders similarly disguised, preying on Allied merchant ships.
