Gentlemen and Officers. The Impact and Experience of War on a Territorial Regiment 1914 - 1918

This is an academic study, by an established author with a speciality in the Great War, of a Territorial Regiment during the war. The regiment chosen was the London Rifle Brigade, which was perhaps the territorial regiment that would have been the obvious choice for most authors. This is a book published by the IWM. A decade prior to the publication of this book, the Museum acquired from the LRB Association a large collection of albums, diaries, periodicals and photographs. The book is important not so much as a some sort of regimental history, but from The Collection's point of view, the important feature is that it is a valuable study of the life and being of a Territorial unit.
