Parker was a school teacher in Indiana for over thirty years. He had Bachelor and Master degrees in History and was passionate in his interest in military history, mainly both world wars.
He frequently visited the Battlefields, and made over forty visits to the UK and other countries, pursuing his research into the subjects he was writing about.
